For your safety and comfort, we thank you for reading the following legal provisions:
Drivers of public transport vehicles are subject to French and European (EEC) regulations, in particular decree no. 92-699 of July 23, 1992, which sets out the following rules:
• Daily range: 12 hours maximum.
The amplitude corresponds to the time elapsed between the beginning and the end of the working day. A rest of at least 8 consecutive hours must precede any new amplitude.
• Daily driving time: 9 hours maximum, which can be extended to 10 hours twice a week.
• Continuous driving time: A driver cannot drive for more than 4.5 hours without interruption.
• Mandatory driving breaks: A 45-minute break is mandatory after each 4.5-hour period of continuous driving. This break may be split (e.g., 3 times 15 minutes), provided that no break is less than 15 minutes.
• Daily rest:
– 11 consecutive hours minimum if rest is taken at home,
– 9 hours minimum if taken outside,
– Possibility of splitting the rest: a period of 8 consecutive hours + 4 hours taken in increments of at least 1 hour (total: 12 hours).
⚠️ Important: The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with these obligations. In the event of exceeding or violating these rules, criminal sanctions may be imposed on the Client, particularly if the vehicle is immobilized during a roadside check. The Client is therefore required to design its program in strict compliance with these safety regulations.
5. Behavior in the event of a problem or dispute
• The driver may interrupt the Service or refuse access on board if the safety or smooth running of the service is compromised.
• A report will be sent to FRANCEBUS Customer Service.
• Cleaning or restoration costs may be invoiced to the Customer in accordance with the Price List.
6. Respect for timetables and modifications
• Departure and return times must be respected. Any delay by the Customer or Passengers may result in additional invoicing.
• Any request for a change of schedule or route must be made within the time limits provided for in the General Terms and Conditions and confirmed by FRANCEBUS.
7. Animals and bulky objects
• Animals are not allowed on board, except assistance dogs.
• The transport of bicycles, strollers, bulky instruments or sports equipment must be reported in advance.
8. Sanctions for non-compliance
• Refusal to perform all or part of the Service without reimbursement.
