Training to become a VTC driver: VTC: Tourist car with driver ou Véhicule de transport avec chauffeur ou de VMDTR (Véhicule motorisé à deux ou trois roues)(sous-entendu « de transport avec chauffeur ») is highly recommended to have a chance of passing the exam. REQUEST YOUR PROFESSIONAL VTC DRIVER CARD

DOCUMENTS TO PROVIDE FOR YOUR VTC DRIVER CARD APPLICATION
You must send a copy of the following documents to the prefecture:

REGISTER ON THE VTC REGISTER
Registration in the VTC register is mandatory to carry out the activity. It must be done online. It must be renewed every 5 years. It costs €170., payable online on the registry website. It is used to give you a personal account where you must record all the events of your professional life. Any change in your situation, including the cessation of activity, must be reported within 3 months. Attention Failure to register with the VTC register is considered an illegal practice of this activity. It is punishable by one year of imprisonment and a fine of €15,000. For your first registration, you must provide the following documents:
- Professional civil liability insurance certificate
- Proof of registration of your company : Siren number, proof of registration with the RNE: Proof used to prove the existence of a company. This is either an extract from the trade and companies register (RCS) or Kbis extract, or an extract from the national business directory (RNE). or Kbis extract
- Copy of the registration certificate (grey card)
- Copy of the VTC professional card
- Proof of financial guarantee: Written guarantee commitment from a mutual guarantee company, an insurance company or a financial institution, covering the risk of non-payment by a debtor (a company vis-à-vis its employees and creditors, for example) of €1,500 for each vehicle used regularly. This guarantee is not necessary if you own the vehicle or if you rent it (rental for more than 6 months). In this case, you must provide any supporting documentation to prove ownership or rental.
RENEW YOUR PROFESSIONAL LICENSE
Every 5 years you must renew your professional license. To obtain renewal, you must complete a continuing education course. This course lasts 2 days (14 hours). If you complete the internship, you will receive a certificate. This process must be completed 3 months before the end of validity.
